Photo Essay

I took this photo series on July 9, 2025, in Nyamirambo during the Esperance Football Tournament. The essay focuses on a football player’s movements and decisions during an intense match. In the first image, he is seen holding the ball and confidently walking toward the corner to throw it.

As the sequence unfolds, the photos capture key moments from his preparation to kick and pass, to his coordination with teammates.

Using the Centered Subject approach and engaging composition techniques, I aimed to highlight the energy, focus, and strategy involved in the game. Through this visual story, viewers are invited to experience the intensity, teamwork, and rhythm that define the spirit of football.

As you can see in the first photo of the photo essay, the player is about to kick the ball with his feet while preparing to catch it with his hands in order to throw it and get a better view of the field.

As shown in the photo, the player had just spotted a teammate to whom he could throw the ball. The match was fast-paced and enjoyable to watch. The players were skilled and knew how to play well.
